A Blocked Toilet That Needed a Closer Look
A blocked toilet at a Bondi Beach home was stopping waste from moving through the sewer line as it should.
The problem was not easy to see from inside the home.
We needed to look inside the pipe to find the blockage and see what was stopping the flow.
A Blockage Inside the Sewer Line
We used a CCTV drain camera to inspect the sewer pipe.
A CCTV drain camera is a small camera that moves through the pipe. It lets us see what is happening inside the drainage line.
The first camera view showed material blocking the sewer line.
This confirmed that the toilet problem was linked to a blockage further inside the pipe.
If the blockage had been left in place, it could have grown worse and stopped more wastewater from flowing away. This may have caused the toilet or other nearby drains to back up and overflow inside the home.

Inspecting and Clearing the Drain
We accessed the sewer line from the side of the home.
We set up the CCTV drain camera beside an outdoor pipe access point. This allowed us to inspect the line without opening walls or floors inside the home.
The camera helped us find the blockage and check the pipe while the work was being completed.

We then cleared the blockage from the sewer line.
A Clear Pipe Confirmed on Camera
After we removed the blockage, we used the CCTV drain camera again.
The final camera view showed an open path through the pipe.
This confirmed that the blockage was gone and wastewater could flow through the sewer line again.
