Recent Job: Blocked Drain Cleared at a Clovelly Property

Service: Blocked Drains

Location: Clovelly, Eastern Suburbs Sydney

A blocked drain at a Clovelly property was stopping water from moving through the line properly.

The drain sat beside the property in a narrow side passage. There was not enough room to bring all of the larger equipment through, so our team kept it outside and took the hose through to the drain.

We opened the drain, fed the hose into the line and worked through the blockage until it was cleared.

With the blockage removed, water could move through the drain again.

If we had left the blockage in place, water could have backed up and overflowed around the property.

A Blocked Drain Beside the Property

The blocked drain was located beside the property in a narrow side passage.

The tight space meant we could not bring all of the larger drain-clearing equipment through to the drain.

We set the equipment up outside the passage and took the hose through to the open drain.

This gave our plumber direct access to the line while still allowing us to use the equipment needed to clear the blockage.

Clearing the Blockage

We opened the drain and fed the hose into the blocked line.

The larger equipment stayed outside the side passage while our plumber controlled the hose at the drain.

We worked through the blockage until the line was cleared.

This setup allowed us to clear the drain without needing to move the larger equipment into the tight space.

The Drain Was Cleared

The completed work included:

  • Reaching the drain through the narrow side passage
  • Setting up the drain-clearing equipment outside the passage
  • Opening the drain
  • Feeding the hose into the line
  • Working through the blockage
  • Clearing the blocked drain

With the blockage removed, water could move through the drain again.

The job was completed without needing to bring the larger equipment into the narrow side passage.

If we had not cleared the blockage, water could have backed up and overflowed around the property.

Is a Drain Around Your Home Blocked?

Slow drainage, bad smells, gurgling sounds and water backing up can all be signs of a blocked drain.

A drain that keeps blocking again may also need to be checked.
